What To Wear To A Festival!

Festival season is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s always fun to have a day to completely let loose, release my inner child, and enjoy good vibes making connections with new people.

This summer I’ve attended multiple festivals. Check out my post in lifestyle for more details on each specific festival for more info and to navigate which you may want to attend. One of the biggest decisions about attending a festival is choosing what outfit to wear.  Of course, this is my favorite part of the experience. It allows me the opportunity to not only create a new look but shop for a new outfit! Depending on what festival I’m attending, my outfit will slightly alter here and there, however there are some of my favorite overall festival styles.

Tops

Mesh tops are my favorite.  You can a wear long sleeves or short sleeves with a bra, bralette or bandeau underneath. Some good places to find these are at Free People, Topshop, Missguided, or Macy’s.

Netted tops– another good festival look
Crop tops- Floral crop tops, bright colors, white crop tops, and lace crop tops really are always great for festivals.

Body Suits- If you don’t like to have your stomach out perhaps a good body suit will be cute however wear with caution, it’s never fun trying to use the restroom at the festival in a bodysuit.

Bathing Suits- Sometimes I like to wear bathing suit tops, depending on what festival you are attending, you may get wet.

Fringe! This is always a cute look any tops with fringe on the sleeves, or at the bottom of the shirt is super cute.

Tee Shirts- This is your opportunity to wear cute tees with your favorite quote or phrase like #Squadgoals, FriedBeforeGuys or SlayAllDay.

Bottoms

Long Skirts

Distressed/Ripped jeans and shorts- This is a cute look that still allows you to be comfortable and you can pair with many different top options.

Cover Up

Depending on the weather you may need something to cover up a bit or be prepare for rain.

Kimonos

Denim Jackets

Ponchos

Dusters

Plaid hoodies

Shoes

Sandals-If you want to wear sandals I recommend lace up sandals and flats are cute.  I’ve seen flip flops and they become a problem. I have also seen a lot of girls with no shoes half way through the day because they have lost their flip flop. Not sure how hard you party but I’ve seen it more than a couple times.

Sneakers- I’ve learned over time sneakers are the best way to go for festivals. I wore sandals once and my feet hurt so sad. Not only were they hurt but really dirty. I can’t stand germs and I literally scrubbed my feet for two days. LOL but seriously you’re walking around all day on and off grass, dirt, and possibly mud (if it rains) so you definitely want to wear some cute shoes, but not any that you care about off they get ruined. I recommend some cute vans or chucks.
